The SMCQ is taking a trip back in time with its first podcast! In a dozen episodes, follow the fascinating history of this institution at the heart of musical creation in Québec since 1966. Lorraine Pintal, renowned for her theatrical work, Réjean Beaucage, author of the book La Société de musique contemporaine du Québec - Histoire à suivre (Septentrion, 2011) and Maestro Walter Boudreau will tell the journey of prominent composers and musicians of the last six decades. The story will be punctuated by interviews, unpublished musical archives and surprising anecdotes. It is an invitation to discover remarkable works and exceptional historical figures such as Jean Papineau-Couture, Pierre Mercure, Maryvonne Kendergi, Micheline Coulombe Saint-Marcoux, François Morel, Serge Garant, Marcelle Deschênes, Gilles Tremblay, Ana Sokolović, Katia Makdissi-Warren or Walter Boudreau to name just a few!
