In 2008, The University of Calgary invited the Trio Fibonnaci to be their musicians in residence. Here they met Allan Gordon Bell. Born in Calgary and recipient of the 2012 Order of Canada, Bell composed music for the National Arts Centre Orchestra, the Calgary Phiharmonic Orchestra, the Esprit Orchestra, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, the Orford String Quartet, the Toronto New Music Concerts ensembles, Arraymusic and the SMCQ, as well as numerous professional organizations in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Israel and Japan.
