Bradyworks was formed in 1989 in order to play the music of Tim Brady and to promote his vision of the electric guitar and contemporary chamber music repertoire. The ensemble features some of Canada’s finest performers, with experience in chamber music, jazz, free improvisation, opera, orchestral and electroacoustic music — a truly unique palette of musical colours, at times moving from notated scores to electronics to improvisational passages within the same concert, sometimes within the same work. Over the course of almost 20 years of music making the group has released 5 CDs, performed three times at the Festival international de musique actuelle de Victoriaville, toured Canada 5 times, presented a regular season of Montréal concerts and undertaken its first European tour in 2003, as well as recording regularly for both the CBC and Radio-Canada.
