Nika Khanjani is a multidisciplinary award-winning storyteller.
Khanjani was born in Isfahan, raised in Houston and New York City, and currently resides in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal. Her experiences as an immigrant, exile, and settler inform her perspectives, but it is her disposition as a humanist that drives her to find the interpersonal micro-moments that connect us in an increasingly frenetic world. Her inspiration comes from examples of human resilience and transformation, and the gorgeous and varied ways we enact radical love, mercy and compassion.
Khanjani graduated from University of Texas at Austin with Honors BA in Literature and a Masters in Fine Arts in Film Production from Concordia University, Montréal. Her films and published works can be found on nikakhanjani.com.
Vanishing Point is her first libretto.
