The three artists of Trio Fibonacci have achieved international acclaim with violinist Julie-Anne Derome winning the prestigious Virginia Parker Prize of the Canada Council for the Arts in 2003 in recognition of her unique contribution to Canadian musical life. Trio Fibonacci cellist Gabriel Prynn has worked with some of the most important composers of our time, including Mauricio Kagel, Jonathan Harvey, George Aperghis and Pascal Dusapin. Pianist Wonny Song joined Trio Fibonacci shortly after winning the 2010 Canadian Musician Award. He has performed as a soloist with such orchestras as the Cincinnati Symphony, Montreal Symphony, Toronto Symphony, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Euro Asian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Latvian National Philharmonic Orchestra. Trio Fibonacci is internationally recognised as one of the only piano trios in the world able to deliver brilliant and inspired interpretations of both traditional works and cutting edge contemporary music. Their concert tours have led them to several European countries, to South Africa, Brazil and Japan, to Buenos Aires, San Francisco and New York.
