Marie-Annick Béliveau performs works by Boudreau.
Singer Marie-Annick Béliveau takes us into the maelstrom of Archimedes’ spiral, with the premiere performance of L’étoile libre by composer Michelle Boudreau. This work for solo mezzo-soprano with live electronic treatment and film features nine songs presented as acts of an opera, freely following the shape of this antique curve. The composer will introduce the mysterious atmosphere of this work with Un prélude hétéroclite, a projection made from sketches, drawings, notes, photographs, poems, and 3D pictures all related to spirals.
