Works by Burman, Gauvreau and Pappathomas.

Experience a striking vocal presentation: on the initiative of the ever-surprising composer and director André Pappathomas, 32 voices assemble for a premiere inspired by Claude Gauvreau’s poems. The setting is unique—a church emptied of its benches and all liturgical objects—providing an integral backdrop for singers and invented instruments performing in the surroundings, drawing listeners into the very heart of the work. Similar to Pappathomas’ singular artistic practices, this performance sees contemporary art transmuted into choral form with a momentum as poetic as it is lyrical.
