Brevà performs works by Gatinet, Kuo, Leroux and Rea.

The musicians of the Montreal wind quintet Brevà interrupt their adventures across the Atlantic to participate in the Homage Series. A most-appreciated detour, allowing us to rediscover Reception and Offering Music, written in 1975 by John Rea, newly arrived in Montreal. This work, marked by Tibetan ritual music, will be performed along with two other works by composers who have adopted Quebec as their home, illustrating our province’s cultural wealth and diversity.

Event accompanied by discussions on Quebec identity and musical fusion.
