Richard Raymond performs works by Rea and Schumann.

John Rea’s famous variations on Schuman’s Kinderszenen (“Scenes from Childhood“) — entitled Las Meninas, in reference to Velasquez’ painting — is presented along with several major piano works by the German romantic composer. A dreamlike atmosphere, poetry, naughtiness and madness: the evening promises a rich repertoire tinged with postmodernism, featuring the return of one of our most renowned Montreal pianists after a seven year absence.
