Works by Champagne, Chaurette, Evangelista, Gougeon, Leclair, March, Shakespeare and Sokolović.
Make way for the next generation! Choral singers ages 6 to 17 from the École des jeunes perform works by six major Canadian composers, including four brief, playful pieces especially composed for them by José Evangelista. An evening full of freshness for discovering the talents of young people in a program which places creativity at the heart of their musical lives.
The works for this program were commissioned by the SMCQ and published in 2017 in the collection Chantons nos compositeurs (Sing the works of our composers!) specifically arranged for use in schools. [Peggy Niloff, translation and adaptation]
