Production OSM

The OSM will present one of Claude Vivier’s most moving works, Lonely Child, showcasing the soprano responsible for its creation, Marie-Danielle Parent. With technical excellence, and are passion and sensitivity, Parent will guide listeners through a return to one of the beacons of the Québécois repertoire. This unique concert will be given under the direction of Jacques Lacombe with the renown Montreal Symphony Orchestra, as part of the Vivier series.

Presented as part of its “Sundays through Music” as well as Montréal/New Music Festival’s “Série Hommage.”

Composing in the Present!

The SMCQ has been moving in step with the lively rhythms of new music for almost fifty years. With its regular concert season, its Série hommage (Homage Series), an international festival, and a young listener’s programme, the society has served both as a platform for today’s composers and as a window on creative works for everyone.
