Major orchestral works tinted with jazz

Under the baton of Walter Boudreau, thirty musicians of the SMCQ Ensemble perform major orchestral works with a jazz influence. The audience will dive into a 20th century musical saga seen through the prism of this brilliant style.

… consisting of major contemporary music composers

From Igor Stravinski to Leonard Bernstein, by way of George Antheil and John Rea, the program’s composers are renowned for their audacious propensity for crossing over from one style to another. As is true for all cosmopolitan geniuses ahead of their time.

A concert that you’ll enjoy to the fullest …

The source for this concert is the jazzy concept: a passion for this musical genre shared by John Rea and Walter Boudreau. In essence, a genuine opportunity for communion. Musical styles that speak to lovers of flourishing musical creation.
