In keeping with the last Homage Series, Circuit, musiques contemporaines magazine dedicated its last edition to Gilles Tremblay. Gilles Tremblay, ou le plain-chant contemporain is the title of this volume which includes different writings on the composer, his life, his music and his philosophy. Many interesting articles such as a personal interview with Mr. Tremblay, personal accounts given by some of his former students and music analyses of three of the composer’s major works, Réseaux, Fleuves and Solstices, all this, presented with excerpts of some of his scores and photographs, give a well-rounded portrait of our “national hero” and a wonderful memento of the year dedicated to him.
