Music Critic Contest: $500 to be won!

Students: Come be a music critic! Participate in Montreal’s New Music Festival by becoming a critic and get the chance to win a$ 500 prize, jointly awarded by UQAM and the SMCQ.

Here’s how

• Register using the form below and let us know which concert you’d like to be a critic for (first come first served, available seats are limited).
• Attend the concert and send us your music critic by March 15, 2015 at the latest.

Rules

• Your critic must be written in either French of English. It must not exceed 750 words and should focus on the selected event.
• The competition is open to all university students, regardless of the field of study.

Please note: You must register at least 3 days before the concert you would like to attend.

Deliberation

A jury comprised of Danick Trottier (musicologist), Réjean Beaucage (critic) and Maxime McKinley (composer), will study the submissions and will deliberate after the festival. The name of the winner will be announced in April.
