Philippe Brault began his music studies at l’école primaire du Plateau at age seven. At first he studied violin, then cello and chose doublebass at age twelve. He also discovers electric bass and founds rock band Underground. Philippe has worked with Ontarian traditional violinist April Verch, composed for theatre and collaborated with la Fanfare Pourpour. He now works as musical director and arranger for Pierre Lapointe with whom he has created the shows La forêt des mal-aimés, Pépiphonique and Mutantès.
