Alcàsser (Spain), 1965

Born in Alcacer (Valencia-Spain), Vincent-Raphaël Carinola received most of his musical training in France where he worked first with Bertrand Dubedout at the regional conservatory in Toulouse and later with Denis Lorrain and Philippe Manoury at the national conservatory in Lyon. He subsequently received grants to work with Stuttgart’s Akademie Schloß-Solitude and Arraymusic inToronto. Carinola composes in various genres: chamber music, orchestral pieces with and without electro-acoustic equipment, acousmatic music, opera, film music, and sound installations among others. Alongside his creative projects, he also teaches composing with new technologies at the Centre de Formation des Enseignants de Musique de Bourgogne and at the Université de Dijon. Carinola is regularly involved in projects with Grame in Lyon.
