A native of Montréal, Felix Del Tredici studied at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University. Described by The New York Times as an “extraordinarily versatile trombonist”, Del Tredici is active in a variety of settings that include interdisciplinary collaborations, the commissioning of new works, improvisation, and music research. He is a member of Ensemble Moto Perpetuo, the New York Trombone Consort, the Fonema Consort, and has performed with Ensemble Transmission, Ensemble Signal, and Klangforum Wien. In 2014 Del Tredici received the Austrian Society Scholarship which provides support for private study in Vienna. Felix is an artist-in-residence at Concordia University’s matralab, and, after some time in New York City, he currently lives in Basel, Switzerland.
