Mélanie Frisoli is a French composer, sound designer and sound technician based in Montréal. She has played, sung her own songs on French and international stages for fifteen years (about 700 concerts) and accompanied several French and Canadian artists as a guitarist. She has also published six albums and written three books as well as composed for dance, theater and film. Passionate about sound, she studied sound engineering before turning to studies in Digital Music at the Music Faculty of the University of Montréal. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in composition and sound design under the direction of Dominic Thibault and Caroline Traube. Her pieces have been performed in Canada, Italy, Germany, Great Britain and have received several awards.
