Composer

Klaus Ib Jørgensen began studying music theory and composition in 1986 with the composer Niels Rosing-Schow. At the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen, he majored in composition and music theory under Professor Yngve Tred. Klaus has written works in many genres, including the chamber opera Tidens Brudgom (1992), Temperature (1993) for accordion solo and chamber orchestra, and Per Archi (1997) for 15 solo strings.

Since 1993 Klaus Ib Jørgensen has been president of Samfundet, the Society for the Publication of Danish Music.
