Performer (bass clarinet)

Born in Kagoshima (Japan), Ayumi Mori studied at Tokyo Gakugei University and obtained a Bachelor of Musical Arts and Diploma of Higher Musical Education. In 1996, Ayumi Mori was a soloist at the Yamaha Young Clarinetist Concert, Tokyo. Since 1997 she has been studying in France, obtaining First Prizes in clarinet and chamber music at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional d’Aubervilliers-La Courneuve in Alain Damiens’ class. Actively involved in contemporary creation, in 2004 she joined the Cairn Ensemble and has performed on numerous occasions on the major European and Japanese stages. She is currently a member of the Trio Cocolaya and the Musica Universalis Ensemble, and teaches at the CRD in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis).
