Performer (ensemble)

Originally known as Orchestre Leonardo Da Vinci, Orchestre 21 is a unique concept in Quebec, presenting concerts of contemporary music and avant-garde Jazz. Its mission is to promote the professional talents in Quebec by hiring young musicians and playing composers from Quebec and Canada in each and every concert. Therefore, Orchestre 21 favors the writing of new works and promotes creators of our community. Created in 2008, Orchestre 21 is conducted by Paolo Bellomia (Professor at Université de Montréal and head of the Orchestral conducting Department in superior degrees) and Ron Di Lauro (trumpeter, teacher and the director of the Big band of UdeM).
