The Quatuor Castagnéri is enjoying a flourishing career. A recipient of prestigious awards in London, Évian, Banff, Florence and Munich, they have performed in some of the most important concert halls: Théâtre du Châtelet and Musée d’Orsay, Capitole de Toulouse, Palais des Beaux-Arts in Bruxelles, Opéra in Lausanne, Gasteig in Munich, Concertgebow in Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall in London, Coliseo in Buenos Aires, Philharmonica Roma. They also have been invited by numerous festivals in France and in other countries.
For their debut recording they produced a French Music programme with the soprano Sophie Koch before recording a Brahms and Zemlinsky solo string quartet CD for Chant du Monde.
Chamber music partners include Leon Fleisher, Anne Queffelec, Nicolas Angelich, Michel Dalberto, Philippe Cassard, F-Frédéric Guy, Frank Braley, Paul Meyer, Romain Guyot, Anne Gastinel, Jessye Norman, Sandrine Piau, François Leroux, Michel Moragues, Philippe Bernold, François Leleux and the Belcea Quartet.
The quartet receives the generous support of the AFAA, the ProQuartet Association and the SACEM.
