Performer (bass)

Originally a teacher, Pierre Vaello joined the Choeur de Radio France in 1993. Noticed for his vocal and musical merits, he began a soloist career, performing Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle under Romano Gandolfi’s direction and various other roles under the direction of well-known conductors with the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. He sang Verdi’s Requiem with the Orchestre Colonne at the Pleyel concert hall and Kurt Weill’s Seven Deadly Sins with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra under V. Fedosseyev’s direction at Musikverein. He has interpreted principle roles in Bizet’s Les Pêcheurs de Perles and Verdi’s Rigoletto and Traviata. He also won First Prize at the 10th International Opera Competition of Marmande. Most recently, he interpreted Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano during a tour directed by R. Chailly.
