Ensemble Chorum performs works by Edwards, Fréchette, Gilbert, Kourliandsky, Lachenmann, Tremblay, Varèse and Xenakis.
A revolutionary programme! The musicians of the Ensemble Chorum deliver instrumental works with unusual timbres and textures, with powerful — at times violent — energy that expresses a desire for freedom, and provides a critique of “beauty” and overly “conventional” music. The Ensemble Chorum brings together 12 highly talented musicians united by a common desire to reinvent the concert format. They produce events in which diversity, rigour, and creativity are the order of the day.
