L’eau qui danse, la pomme qui chante et l’oiseau qui dit la vérité by Gilles Tremblay.
Opening night for a Tremblay opera: for its thirteenth premiere, Chants libres brings the composer together with another major Québécois artist, Pierre Morency, from the world of theatre, with his debut libretto. Fruit of the imagination of these two enthusiastic nature observers, L’eau qui danse, la pomme qui chante et l’oiseau qui dit la vérité is a magical, fairy opera for young and old — something to see, taste, hear, breathe in, and experience… all expressed through tale and fable.
Robert Bellefeuille, mise-en-scène; Jean Bard, stage design; Nicolas Descoteaux, lighting; Geodesik, visual design; Marianne Thériault, costumes; Angelo Barsetti, make-up; Lina Cruz, choreography.
