Works by Béluse, Gougeon, Kagel, Vivier and Xenakis.
Music… in motions! From Gougeon’s furious percussion [NEM & Sixtrum] to Vivier’s exoticism [Sixtrum], this breathtaking concert also gives a nod to the 50 years of avant-garde music in Québec with Kagel and Xenakis. In this case, from work to work, the music is definitely “moving”, drawing us into its frantic rhythms or its ethereal universe. Through this acrobatic journey, Lorraine Vaillancourt brilliantly guides the musicians of the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, joined by the virtuoso percussionists of the Sixtrum ensemble.
