Works by Alberti, de Falla, Llugdar, Martínez Sierra, Sokolović and Staniland.
In the tradition of its concerts with big screen, ECM+ invites Appassionata to join its ranks to create a symphony orchestra of 36 musicians for the presentation of L’Amour sorcier, a show inspired by Manuel de Falla’s great work of the same title. With a scenario by Matthias Maute and Foumalade’s original videos, this imaginative Gipsy tale serves as a common thread to link the evening’s Canadian premieres with Ana Sokolović’s Nine Proverbs.
Matthias Maute, scenario; Foumalade, video; Caroline Nadeau, lighting; Marie-Josée Chartier, staging.
