Yarn/Wire performs works by Di Castri and Szlavnics.

Founded in 2005, Yarn/Wire is a quartet of two percussionists and two pianists. They propose a flexible instrumental combination, capable of effortlessly sliding between the classics of the repertoire and modern works that forge new boundaries. Moreover, this ensemble is renowned for the energy and precision they bring to performances of today’s most adventurous music. Their collaborations with current composers explore the crossroads of composition, technology, installation, live performance, musical theatre and more. Based in New York, Yarn/Wire makes its Canadian debut at the MNM Festival, premiering two of its most recent commissions in Canada.
