Timber by Michael Zev Gordon.

In Timber, composer Michael Gordon uses primitive material (six pieces of wood) to construct a soundscape, which resembles electronic music, through gradual shifts in timbres and rhythms. In this piece, we are able to witness the influences of electronic music on contemporary composers and musicians, as well as their abilities re-investigate electronic music in a new context.
