Works by Nachoff, Penderecki, Schafer and Zorn.
World-renowned performers and recipient of numerous awards, Quatuor Molinari plays the heartstrings with a programme emblematic of its musical eclecticism. From the panoply of effects present in Zorn’s quartet to the Viennese atmosphere of Penderecki’s work, the musicians take you on a journey through all the tonalities of a repertoire considered to be the quintessence of classical music. As ardent defenders of local composers, they also invite us to explore rich and original soundscapes with pieces by R Murray Schafer and young Quinsin Nachoff. Pianist Louise Bessette and clarinetist André Moisan bring their musical colours to this evening which covers a wide range of emotions.
