Works by Dowland, Grahl and Tidrow.
From baroque to contemporary, four centuries of music at your fingertips! Quatuor Bozzini and Les Boréades de Montréal bring together their respective strings and musical worlds in a programme that is at the antipodes of time. Dowland’s “Seven Lachrymæ Pavanes,” one of the 17th century’s great successes, intertwine with the premieres of the young canadian composers Trevor Grahl and Thierry Tidrow. Freely inspired by Renaissance astronomy and stellar movements, they propose short compositions that revolve around the pavanes, taking you from one musical planet to another.
