A quest for perfection of harmony which becomes both a source of beauty and drama.
With this work, Martin continues his fascinating exploration of natural harmony and the resulting unheard-of resonance of acoustic instruments. The composer brings together an ensemble of seven strings forming one body, with solo and tutti alternating between finesse and power. The sound carries us along in its waves, time flows smoothly, interrupted only by the silence that separates the main parts of the work. Always imbued with interiority, Simon Martin’s music bears witness to a mystery which challenges us.
