No less than two illuminations conclude our festival!
The first is by Montréal composer Brian Cherney, who draws on Jewish mysticism while reconstructing a meditative cycle. Then there is Britten, who brings Arthur Rimbaud’s book of poetry of the same name to life by magnifying its text and giving it a new dimension. The English composer then pays homage to his mentor in Variations on a Theme by Frank Bridge, one of the works which would ensure his international fame.
