Produced by the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec, as part of the “Tribute to Tremblay” series.
Meet Gilles Tremblay… in a comic strip! Au pays de l’émerveilleux Gilles Tremblay recounts the composer’s life and works through the wondering eyes of three engaging characters who have gone off to meet him on a beach in Charlevoix. Inhabited by the spirit of the river so dear to Tremblay, this “travel diary” allows us to journey between the present and the past on a unique course, where music becomes above all a matter of love and sharing. A “human” history deliciously told by youth writer Marie Décary and illustrator Élisabeth Eudes-Pascal.
Published with a run of 20, 000 copies, Au pays de l’émerveilleux Gilles Tremblay will be launched in November 2009 during the FAMEQ conference (Fédération des Musiciens Éducateurs du Québec) and will subsequently be distributed free of charge to all young participants in the Le grand jeu / La grande écoute project.
