On this piece Javier Torres Maldonado writes: “While I was planning the piece, thinking about the idea of “language regression” appearing in some of Berio’s electronic pieces, I thought that as well as the fusion of vocal sounds with that of the bayan, as I was specifically requested, it would be very interesting to have a human sound as the base with a strong expressive content, a sound that would constitute the gestural and gravitation from which to derive each musical gesture or idea and most of the electronic sounds: the sigh, the human sigh, but also the one we find in some of the madrigals of Monteverdi and Gesualdo”.
