Freebirds is a blues with a dancing figure on screen. It bears no relationship to the classic arena rock song, except that it is an electric blues that takes its time. Tim Brady commissioned the work in 2009 and I gave myself the challenge of making very slow piece of music for a very fast guitarist. The video is a speculative rendering of a proud flying animal, prancing in a mildly deranged pasa doble.
