Limaille was written for Cairn and Totem Contemporain siren organ and premiered in March 2022 during the Biennale des Musiques Exploratoires (Lyon). The work is composed from crumbs of sound, pieces of music and instrumental artefacts that are assembled, disassembled and reassembled throughout the work. Under the influence of different forces — harmonic, timpani, rhythmic, energetic — the materials unfold in different directions to form a succession of delicate and raw tableaux.
